Team Champions! 13th October 2008 The Handy Motorsport / KÄRCHER team are celebrating after securing the Team Championship title at Pembrey over the weekend. Stephen Treherne and Simon Belcher had a fairly run of the mill weekend results wise although neither lost any ground in the overall standings. In actual face Stephen has moved into fourth overall after outscoring arch rival Lawrence Davey by five points. The weekend's races were played out in front of the biggest car racing audience that Wales will see all year as part of the Autumn Truck Racing festival. The huge crowd saw the KÄRCHER cars put in a workman like performance in the six races - neither of the cars finished outside of the top ten all weekend with Stephen fourth overall in Sunday's round. Simon Belcher commented: "This is our first season as a team so to win the Team Title is a major achievement. We can now go to the last round at Brands Hatch concentrating on our individual performances." KÄRCHER 12 driven by Treherne could still achieve third place in the championship although the gap between him and 3rd placed Lee Fitzpatrick is over 300 points - the equivalent of a race win and a tenth place. KÄRCHER 11, driven by Simon Belcher is safe in 7th but engaged in battle with the reigning World Masters Champion Peter Morton who lies in sixth place.
