2010 Legends Cars Championship - Round 1, Oulton Park 27th March 2010
Well the
eagerly awaited start to the 2010 championship is finally here, Oulton
Park in Cheshire played host
for the first round of The 2010 Legends Cars Championship. With a full
grid of 30 cars which included no less than 10 rookies, a difficult task
lay ahead both #11 Simon and #12 Stephen.

Two Drivers In 2009 Legends Cars World Points Series Top 10
The Handy Motorsport drivers Stephen
Treherne & Simon Belcher rounded of a fine season when they finished in
the very creditable positions of 7th & 9th
respectively in the 2009 Legends Cars World Points Series, despite
neither driver racing in the final world championship event in Las
Vegas, USA.

Treherne has embarked on the London to Cameroon rally in aid of charity,
his father John Treherne has spent the last 2 months preparing the VW
Beetle for the rally at Handy Motorsports Daventry based bodyshop.

Brands Hatch 31st October/1st November 2009
Brands Hatch in Kent played host
for the final 2 rounds of The 2009 Legends Cars Championship, The
Swindon based Kärcher Handy Motorsport Team along with drivers Stephen
Treherne & Simon Belcher would be using the 1.198 mile Indy Circuit
which has a tenuous link between The CART series & Legends racing … Wait
for it … The Indy Circuit overall lap record is held by no less than
Paul Tracy in a Team Players CART Car, set when the series visited
Brands in 2003 … The CART series is an American series … Legends racing
originated in America. Sorry - it’s the best I could do.

Simon, Stephen & The
Kärcher Handy Motorsport Team went to Pembrey Circuit for round’s 12 and
13 of The 2009 Legends Cars Championship, The circuit which is situated
just outside
Pembrey village, Near
Llanelli, South Wales
is often referred to the home of Welsh Motorsport, It has a place in
motorsport folklore as the place were Messrs Prost & Senna sorted their
differences, Following their very famous Formula 1 disagreement.

Mallory
Park in the Leicestershire village of Kirkby Mallory was The Kärcher
Handy Motorsport Team’s latest destination
for
round 11 of The 2009 Legends Cars Championship, The circuit
has a 180° hairpin
“the tightest corner on any UK track”, a blind downhill off camber
left-hander and a 1/3 of a mile long right-hand bend. The full circuit
measures just 1.35 miles which makes it one of the shortest of the
permanent race circuits in the UK.

2009 Legends Cars Championship - Rounds 7 & 8,
Croft
11th & 12th July 2009
The
Yorkshire circuit Croft was the latest destination for The Kärcher Handy
Motorsport
Team
on a double header meeting for rounds 7 & 8 of the 2009 Legends Cars
Championship.
Once
again Both Stephen & Simon were looking for a weekend of points & hoping
to avoid those very expensive DNF’s. Following Simon’s third overall at
Oulton he was hoping again to find his rhythm whilst staying out of
trouble, Stephen was hoping to close the gap on the front pair of
Fitzpatrick & Higgins, Little did he know what the weekend had in store
for him.

Oulton Park

The
Kärcher Handy Motorsport Team travelled north to Oulton Park in Cheshire
for round 6 of The 2009 Legends Cars Championship, The circuit
set in the grounds
of Oulton Hall is characterised by its rapidly changing gradients and
blind crests leading into unforgiving corners.
Both #11 Simon and #12 Stephen were looking to make up some ground on
Burnett Motorsports John ‘Jon’ Higgins and Lee Fitzpatrick.

round 5 of The 2009 Legends Cars Championship the venue was Cadwell Park
in The Lincolnshire Wolds, The circuit is affectionately nicknamed “The
Mini-Nurburgring” with it’s blind apexes, blind summits and
sharp
changes in both gradient & camber it
is one of the most exciting and dramatic circuits in the UK and a
real challenge for
Kärcher Handy Motorsport
drivers #11 Simon Belcher and #12 Stephen Treherne.

1st May 2009 – Truckfest 2009
Handy Motorsport drivers Simon Belcher & Stephen Treherne will be in
attendance at Truckfest 2009, which has euphemistically been called “Crufts
for Trucks”, The show takes place at
East of England Showground,
Peterborough on 3rd
& 4th May 2009.
The appearance of
The 2009 Legends Cars UK Team Champions at the
show is in support of team sponsors Kärcher & their dealers
Chemtec, Simon’s number 11 car will be on display and both drivers will
be on hand with signed posters.
26th April 2009 - Knockhill
Handy Motorsport driver Simon Belcher made the journey north of the
border to Knockhill for the 1st round of the SMRC Legends
Cars Championship and returned with third overall following a very
successful weekend at the Scottish circuit.

31st March 2009 - Brands Hatch
The
Wlitshire based Handy Motorsport Team started the season in the 1st
& 2nd rounds of the 2009 Legends Cars Championship with a
successful weekend at Brands Hatch. It was business as usual in the
Legends class with four heats & two finals that were packed with the
usual ‘Legends’ nose to tail action.

Competition Winner
The WINNER of the Karcher
K675 pressure washer worth over £390 is Julie Crookes from Chesterfield
the winner was drawn by KÄRCHER UK sales manager Mark Moseley.
Over 500 people entered the
competition for the fantastic KÄRCHER pressure washer on the Legends
Cars stand at the Autosport International Show 2009 the machine was supplied
by Handy Motorsports main sponsor KÄRCHER UK.

Simon Belcher has secured
fourth place in the 2008 Legends Cars World Championship after taking
ninth position in the last ranking event of the season at Las Vegas Motor

1st September - Impressive Trip North For KÄRCHER Legends
Handy Motorsport
made another long journey this weekend as the Legends Cars championship
rolled in Croft Circuit near Richmond in north Yorkshire. Both drivers
had a superb day's sport with Stephen taking second overall on the day
with Simon in fourth.

The Knockhill Touring
Car race meeting was one of the hardest fought the team has been involved
in. Legends Cars racing is always hard fought but
this meeting in particular was a bruising, physical encounter.

the team's second event as a two car outfit!

03 April - Brace of 1,200s
for Rockingham
Handy Motorsport will be running
two new 1,200cc engines in the next Legends Cars double header at Rockingham
on 19th and 20th April.
Simon Belcher said: "We
will be running both cars with brand new 1,200cc air cooled engines at
Rockingham following set backs with the team's 1,250cc water cooled engine
that I ran at Brands Hatch. It is hoped that the 1,250cc water cooled
engine will be run again later in the season after further development
with 600 Racing."
Stephen Treherne will again
be racing the #12 car.

Handy Motorsport unveils its new
2008 line up with new KÄRCHER livery cars.
At the Autosport show in January Handy Motorsport unveilled its new 2-car
team for 2008 with new title sponsor KÄRCHER. Simon Belcher will lead the
team in the new #11 car this is the first water cooled Legend Car in the
UK.
The new #12 car will be entered
as a 'team car' in the 2008 Championship which means that we can use the
experience of several top drivers. Our guest driver at the opening round
- Brands Hatch will be multi race winner Stephen Treherne.
